HAPPY 2ND BIRTHDAY, BEATRICE!

Our little princess is 2 Years Old today!

Looking back, Beatrice has been a MAGNIFICENT kid. She has brought us lots of love, joy, happiness, fun and sometimes frustration too. Let us share with you what we meant.

LOVE.
Beatrice loves to share her affections with everyone by giving hugs and kisses.
And she is able to express her affection in both languages for people whom she knows, and for things or animals she sees.

JOY and HAPPINESS.
Beatrice is a "Aunty Killer". Whenever she SMILES and GREETS a Aunty, that Aunty will become her FAN! Can you believe that a little tot like her, has many many Aunty Friends at the NTUC supermarket near our living area? Well, I must say that we should really say, "Thank You to Larry", for giving our little princess the name Beatrice, which means Bringer of Joy. Indeed, whenever there is Beatrice, there will be laughter! And whenever we are upset at work, we would go to her blog site to look at her pictures. She is our stress reliever.

FUN.
Beatrice is a very expressive child. Call her a drama queen and she will tell you, " I am not drama, I am expressive!" Whenever Larry and I discuss about the progress of our little tot, there is something which we would never ever dismiss. And that is her "music and songs flooded brain". Beatrice enjoys singing, and making "instrumental" sound from anything that looks like a mallet or a drum or even a guitar and violin.

FRUSTRATION.
Lots of patient has been moulded, and I am still trying very hard to have more. In every development stage of this child of ours, we have to devise ways and techniques to teach her and lead her to grow and learn in the right way. But many a time, external influences are really beyond our control.

Nowadays, Beatrice has learnt to whine despite her ability to deliver her thoughts, and to tell us exactly what she wants. This is indeed frustrating. However, most of the time, mommy is the bad person, for she will never accede to Beatrice's naughty act. But, Beatrice has learnt a trick or two to coax and pacify mommy! And to tell you a little secret, she is better than her Daddy in these little tricks =D

Beatrice is also a chatterbox! She loves to chatter chatter chatter during bedtime. And if you happen to start a conversation with her unknowing, it can really takes her an hour before she knock off in bed. But mostly, mommy will demand that she close her eyes and sleep immediately. Otherwise, she will have to sit in the hall, and she can talk to her toys. Well, this little trick "normally" works when all else fail.

Frustrating it maybe. But LOVE conquers ALL.

In the months to come, we will have to face with much more challenges in the process of coaching Beatrice. And we will have to learn and adapt to the changes, as we move forward with our little one. But for now, we just want like to say to our little princess:
