My First Day of School at MindChamps
Hurray! Beatrice is finally going to school, and today is her first day of school with MindChamps. School actually started on the 2nd of this month, however, our little princess was down with high fever, cough and runny nose on Sunday. Hence, we have kept her away from school until her fever has subsided.Anyway, both Larry and I have been looking forward to sending Beatrice to school and we have been busy preparing for the school essential for the past 2 months.
Beatrice will be attending the full day session, and she will join 3 other new kids in the PG3 class. MindChamps has only started the preschool this May. The teacher-children ratio at MindChamp is 1:4. Basically, the premise is really comfy since it is still quite new. The school is fully air-condition and it is quite cold. We have been advised by her form teacher to bring long sleeve shirts and pants for change after shower, as it would get quite chilling when the children take their nap in the afternoon.
Well, me being a kia-su and kia-si person, I have been shopping around for really thick non-slip socks, long sleeve shirts and thick track pants for Beatrice. And we have even gotten quite a few pieces of jackets and cardigans for on standby purposes, in case of wacky weather like now.
As for Beatrice, we have been talking to her about going to school and behaving in school. We have also been reminding her of the Dos and Don't in class for the past 2 months. Generally as a whole, I think she is quite eager to go to school and she is quite "mentally" prepared. This morning, before Teacher Phebe was in class, she was able to engage in free play as by herself. And Teacher Margaret from PG1 has commented that Beatrice is very independent. Well, we are keeping our fingers crossed and we do hope that Beatrice is doing fine when we pop by during her lunch time at about 11.

This is Amanda's mummy, from her MindChamps class. I happened to chance upon your blog while searching for information on Mindchamps.
Beatrice is a real darling, both myself and my hubby are impressed with her maturity level and her ability to express herself so well.
Looking forward for both the two Foo babies to play with each other in class.
